Universal tile fasteners are used to fasten cladding to the ventilated façade frame. The fasteners are made of certified 1.2 mm thick stainless steel. Make of stainless steel: AISI 304.
- Resistant to corrosion caused by natural atmospheric stress;
- Low visibility makes them universally suitable for fastening cladding of any colour, as they have no visual impact on the façade;
- The structure of the small amortisation wings make the fasteners adjust ideally to the thickness of the cladding element and keep it in place even if the thickness of the element varies greatly.
Important: if the tile fasteners are to be installed on an aluminium frame, only stainless steel self-tapping screws, stainless steel rivets or aluminium rivets with a stainless steel rivet body should be used.
The tile fasteners are resistant to natural atmospheric stressors, but stainless steel is prone to corrosion when its surface is coated with electrolytes in which the chloride concentration may exceed the critical norm. There are various sources of chloride, e.g., cleaners that contain hydrochloric acid (HCl) or relax chloride in gas form (Cl2), which becomes chloride ion Cl¯ when it interacts with a metal surface. This may lead to the corrosion of the passive film that coats the surface of the metal and protects it from environmental impact. Therefore, before beginning to clean the surface of a façade that uses such fasteners or where such fasteners are being installed with a chemically aggressive product, the aforementioned properties of stainless steel should be taken into account.
